Industry Structure, Firms, and International Trade

Course Overview

This seminar explores the linkages between the global economy, firm structure, and industrial performance. This includes FDI linkages to firm productivity, the impact of globalization on the organization of the firm, globalization and inequality, and the forces driving offshoring.

This course is organized as a seminar where students present papers drawn from the scientific literature. They will also prepare survey papers on the topics covered during the seminar. Students are expected to present their own papers at the end of the term.
